Purpose of Study
The purpose of this study is to assess risk factors for developing blood stream infection in patients undergoing stem cell transplant and who have diagnosis of hematological malignancy. The study team will determine risk factors by collecting variables from cases and controls and determining which risk factors are associated with blood stream infection.
Eligibility
You may be eligible to participate in this study if you are 18 years of age or above and have a diagnosis of hematological malignancy or underwent stem cell transplant between January 2014 to January 2024. Cases will be individuals with positive blood culture (blood stream infection) and controls will be matched individuals with no positive blood cultures.
