The Centre for Aging SMART at Vancouver Coastal Health aims to promote the health of individuals living with the effects of aging or disability by developing novel and cost-effective Solutions for Mobility, Activity, Rehabilitation and Technology.
The partnerships between the Centre for Aging SMART, Vancouver Coastal Health and the University of British Columbia are key to developing health care innovations that shape practice and policies to improve the lives of people in British Columbia and their families today.
Researchers at the Centre for Aging SMART undertake interdisciplinary research to tackle some of the most devastating problems currently facing the province’s aging population. Researchers collaborate to improve mobility with aging and disease, implement programs to improve activity and cognitive health, and create innovative technologies and tools to transform health care.
