Biography
Dr. Brodie Sakakibara is currently an assistant professor with the Department of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy at the University of British Columbia (UBC). He is also an investigator with the Chronic Disease Prevention Program and is based out of the Southern Medical Program at UBC Okanagan. He completed his PhD in the UBC Graduate Program in Rehabilitation Sciences, and postdoctoral research fellowships at the Rehabilitation Research Program and Simon Fraser University.
Dr. Sakakibara’s research focuses on the secondary prevention of stroke, cardiovascular disease and multimorbidity, the delivery of chronic care health services and supports using accessible technologies, and the measurement of chronic disease self-management and prevention outcomes.
