The VCHRI Communications team offers a variety of services to research community members and the media, from building and maintaining the VCHRI brand and online presence to promoting local research findings and organizing media relations.
Stay updated with the latest health research announcements, publications, trainee profiles and stories, published biweekly in the Researcher Insider newsletter. The newsletter also features funding opportunities, educational workshops and local events to connect researchers, trainees and students with useful resources. Collaborators are welcome to connect with the VCHRI Communications team to help amplify their events and professional development activities in the newsletter.

Research Experts
VCHRI is home to leading clinicians and award-winning researchers across a broad spectrum of disciplines. Find local research experts and learn about their work through our researcher directory. The Communications team is available to coordinate interviews with researchers, arrange onsite filming or photo opportunities and assist with navigating VCHRI facilities.
Media Support
VCHRI encourages research community members to promote their work, engage with the public and media and raise awareness about the importance of health and medical research. The Communications team facilitates media interactions and ensures proper coordination and privacy. Please direct all media requests to the communications team for timely coordination.
- All media representatives visiting VCHRI sites must be escorted by a member of the Communications team (or a designate).
- Written consent from patients is required before any media interviews.
- Documentary film producers must submit a written synopsis about their project to the Communications team for approval.

Logos and Templates
Researchers are encouraged to acknowledge VCHRI by using the VCHRI logo on websites, posters and other visual presentations. The logo is available in PNG, JPEG and EPS formats. The logo must be used as provided, without altering the color or cropping any part of it. A research poster template is also available upon request.
Research Promotion
Researchers with new findings to publicize, studies to promote or recognitions to share can contact the VCHRI Communications team for assistance in developing news stories or media releases. The team also offers promotional materials such as customized brochures and posters to raise awareness about research and opportunities for public participation at Vancouver Coastal Health.
