Biography
Dr. Andrea Krüsi is a research scientist and research education lead at the Centre for Gender and Sexual Health Equity as well as an assistant professor in the Division of Social Medicine at the University of British Columbia (UBC). She is also an associate faculty member with the UBC School of Population and Public Health.
Dr. Krüsi is the principal investigator for the qualitative and arts-based component of the AESHA Project, focused on the social and structural factors shaping sex workers’ occupational health and safety. Her work focuses broadly on the criminalization of sexuality, with a particular focus on how intersecting social and structural contexts such as laws and policies shape the health and social inequities among marginalized and criminalized people.
