Persons with living/lived experience and their families
Interested in learning how you can be involved in the health research process beyond participating as a subject? Join us for an introduction to the local health research landscape and the practice of Patient-Oriented Research (POR) that recognizes the importance of including living/lived experience throughout the research process. Hear from patients or family members who have partnered in research and ask questions about their journey.
Additional workshops to further your POR learning journey may be available at future dates.
Learning objectives
In this workshop, you will:
- Gain a high-level understanding of health research
- Learn about POR and why it is important
- Hear examples and ask questions on what it is like to partner in health research
- Be provided with resources on how to learn more and begin your own journey in POR
NOTE: This is an informational session only, attendees will not be connected to a study.
