Biography
Dr. John Staples is an academic general internist based at Vancouver General Hospital and St. Paul’s Hospital, and a clinical associate professor at the University of British Columbia (UBC). After graduating from medical school at the University of Alberta, he completed a residency and fellowship in General Internal Medicine at UBC, a Master of Public Health at Harvard University, a New England Journal of Medicine Editorial Fellowship and a Health Services Research Fellowship at the Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences in Toronto. His research interests include health services research, traffic safety and medical risk factors for injury.
