Biography
Dr. Weeks obtained her PhD from Duke University in 1969 and, after a post-doc in the UK, taught microbiology at UBC. In 1981, at 37 years of age, she entered Dalhousie Medical School in Halifax, followed by a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Her medical practice following this was in the field of neurorehabilitation at GF Strong, most of her time being dedicated to the care of people with spinal cord injuries. P
Dr. Weeks has been involved in SCI education at a new rehab centre in Nepal since 2009, assisting two young Nepalese physicians towards specialty training in spinal surgical care and SCI rehabilitation.
