Biography
Dr. Nada Lallous is a structural biochemist interested in applying her strong expertise in protein biochemistry and biophysics to guide drug development for cancer patients. She has over 15 years of international cancer research experience, having led projects from inception to structural determination and preclinical drug validation. After being appointed as senior research scientist at the Vancouver Prostate Centre in 2019, she established and is currently directing the Gobind Khorana Protein Engineering Core. Her lab is interested in elucidating the role of transcriptional condensates in cancer progression and treatment resistance. They employ a combination of biochemical, cellular, biophysical and structural approaches to better understand liquid-liquid phase separation of key oncogenic transcription factors and to uncover the mode of actions of drugs that target them.
