Ovarian Cancer Research Centre (OVCARE) brings together global leaders in ovarian and other gynecological cancer research to improve health outcomes and survival for women through collaborative research and knowledge translation. The breadth of expertise of clinicians, researchers, staff and trainees spans across the research spectrum, from cell biology, epidemiology and clinical informatics to computational cancer genomics, machine learning and imaging.
OVCARE is committed to research that will improve health outcomes for women with ovarian cancer — through prevention, early detection and more accurate diagnosis, and more effective treatment. The research team has built core research resources enabling many research discoveries and is now using powerful DNA sequencing technologies to get to the heart of what ovarian cancer is. Researchers have made enormous strides in research and knowledge exchange that have had a significant health impact influencing health policy both in Canada and globally.
