Biography
Dr. Larry Goldenberg is director of development and Supportive care at the Vancouver Prostate Centre, professor in the Department of Urologic Sciences at the University of British Columbia, and Stephen A. Jarislowsky Chair in Urologic Sciences at Vancouver General Hospital. He served as division/department head from 2000 to 2015.
Dr. Goldenberg is a urologic surgeon and clinician scientist with an international reputation for excellence in prostate cancer research, education, advocacy and treatment. His current research involves the evaluation of the role of artificial intelligence in urologic pathology and radiology, patient education, and development of a novel molecule for targeting PSMA on cancer cells for diagnostics and theranostics. He has been recognized for his contributions to health care by being inducted into both the Order of British Columbia and the Order of Canada.
